Our coaches are the heart of CrossFit Chichester. They have diverse backgrounds and a shared passion. They want to help members achieve their fitness goals. Get to know the people who make our gym a supportive and motivating place to be.

ARCHIE

As a CrossFit Level 3 Coach, I’ve spent over 10 years helping people transform their health and fitness. With over 5,000 clients coached, I’ve seen firsthand the incredible impact that structured training, proper nutrition, and a strong community can have on someone’s life.
 

Running CrossFit Chichester alongside my wife, Lydia, has been an amazing journey. Together, we’ve built a results-driven, supportive environment where people of all ages and abilities can achieve real, lasting change.
 

Our 6-week challenge is one of the most effective programmes we’ve ever created; it combines training, nutrition, and accountability to deliver incredible results. If you’re looking to get started or want to join a class, now is the best time.

Mike

MIKE

I have extensive experience in sports, having played and coached rugby union and rugby league at the National Leagues level. My background includes service in the Army and a career in the Police, focusing on training and development.

I approach health and fitness with discipline and structure, and I’m passionate about helping individuals achieve their goals in an enjoyable and inclusive way.
I emphasize the importance of attention to detail for enhancing performance and preventing injuries.

My goal is to help everyone learn efficient movement patterns to establish a strong foundation for lasting results. I take pride in supporting individuals on their fitness journeys and enjoy seeing their confidence and health improve. 

Whether you’re an experienced athlete or just starting out, I’m here to guide you in understanding the importance of functional training, perfecting your form, building strength, and enhancing your overall well-being.

DERREN

My CrossFit journey began in 2017 in the hot and humid gyms of Singapore. After 25 years in finance and tech, COVID made me return to the UK in 2021.

I then got into CrossFit and Hyrox.

I want to help others progress in their fitness journey. This is especially true for those anxious about trying something new. I thrive on seeing people achieve the impossible, like their first pull-up. My favourite workout is the squat clean, and while sit-ups are my nemesis, I never shy away from a challenge.

Outside the gym, I love theatre and cheering on Arsenal. I have Level 1 and 2 CrossFit certifications and much coaching experience. I'm here to support and motivate you every step of the way. Ready for a new challenge? Let’s make it happen.

RHYS

As a Level 2 CrossFit Coach with five years of experience, I’m dedicated to helping athletes of all levels unlock their potential and achieve their fitness goals. My coaching philosophy is built on a foundation of safe, effective training that focuses on long-term progress.
 

I’m passionate about refining technique and enhancing functional movement, ensuring every athlete moves efficiently and with confidence. Whether you're new to CrossFit or a seasoned competitor, my goal is to guide you towards maximising your performance and reaching new milestones.
 

My favourite movement? The deadlift. It’s the ultimate test of strength and technique, and I love helping athletes perfect it.
 

I’m here to support and inspire you on your fitness journey, creating a training environment where you feel challenged, empowered, and ready to achieve more than you thought possible.
